JMC Participates in OSCAR 2.0 Workshop in the Slovenia

The OSCAR 2.0 Capacity Building Workshop in Slovenia (11–15 November 2024) brought together partners from Europe, Asia and Africa to strengthen institutional Open Science (OS) strategies and co-develop OS courses under Work Package 4 (WP4). Hosted by ISSBS and partners in Ljubljana, Celje, Koper, Piran and Bled, the programme combined expert inputs on quality assurance, repositories, national OS action plans, libraries, and open-access publishing with hands-on group work.
Participants visited innovation spaces such as Center Rog, Celje Incubator and EMUNI University, and worked in university teams to design institutional OS strategies, data management approaches and regulatory frameworks. The week concluded with presentations of draft OS regulations, signing of MoUs, and a certificate ceremony, reinforcing a shared commitment to building a sustainable, globally connected Open Science culture across OSCAR 2.0 institutions.
