JMC Participates in OSCAR 2.0 Workshop in Germany
Our team travelled to Deggendorf, Germany from 4–8 November 2024 to participate in the OSCAR 2.0 Capacity Building Workshop hosted by the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT). The workshop focused on strengthening Open Science infrastructure across partner institutions in Europe and Africa.
During the visit, the team took part in expert sessions on open data, repositories, citizen science and Science Shop models, and contributed African perspectives on Open Science in research and innovation. We also worked with other partners to draft concept notes for institutional Open Science systems and a Science Shop 2.0 framework.
The mission strengthened international collaboration, positioned our institutions within a global Open Science network, and equipped the team with practical tools to advance Open Science back home.
