Course Content
Setting Performance and Providing Feedback
The purpose of the Setting Performance Expectations and Providing Feedback module is to enable
participants to acquire knowledge and skills to develop, interpret and apply the processes and procedures of
performance management in a cultural context of a workplace/industry in Botswana. The participants will be able to
profile their workplace, analyze the age and expertise structure of their workforce and match that against strategic
goals of the organization to enhance productivity and satisfied and innovative workforce.

Performance Appraisals and Recognition
The purpose of the Performance Appraisals and Recognition module is to enable participants to acquire skills
to implement a performance management system that is effective and achieve performance improvement, enhance
productivity levels and keep the organisation’s workforce motivated, innovative and satisfied that the recognition and
reward systems of the organization are objectively applied to achieve set goals and desired results. Through reading
and practice participants will learn and apply relevant performance appraisal tools such as 360 degree feedback and
others.

Performance Management Design and Implementation
The purpose of the Performance Management Design and Implementation module is to enable participants
to develop knowledge and skills among the learners on how to design, implement, monitor and evaluate a
performance management system within Botswana’s cultural and development context. The learners will be able to
identify, select and utilize the best and most current performance management tools and technology suited for
reaching out to remote teams, set new expectations and assess them to assist planning and monitoring. Ensure that
locally designed performance management systems are culturally consistent.
