Ms Lily Chipazi

Mrs. Lily Chipazi is a Managing Partner & Director – Finance. She is also Assistant Director – Training at Joint Minds Consult. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (hons) Psychology and a Master of Science (MSc) in Educational Psychology.

Mrs. Lily Chipazi has distinguished herself as a Project Manager. She has successfully led the following nationwide researches and programs.

  • Evaluating Project AIM: An innovative approach to HIV prevention in Sub-Saharan Africa;
  • The evaluation of the Botswana Window of Hope Living: Life Skills program;
  • The development of the National Life Skills Framework;
  • Development of the Comprehensive Sexuality Education for out of school youth (UNFPA funded);
  • The development of the Botswana Psychometrics Tests Framework,
  • Life Planning Skills program supported by African Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Partnerships (ACHAP);
  • National Youth Forum Training materials for both in and out of school youths;  and
  • Emotional Intelligence Training Programme.

She is also a seasoned Curriculum Developer, Education Officer, Counselor, Educational Psychologist, Lecturer, Life Skills and Emotional Intelligence, Training Consultant in Botswana and Zimbabwe. She is also a seasoned Programs, Materials and Curriculum Development Specialist. As Director at JMC responsible for training and development she has been the lead consultant in the development of the forth coming Bangweulu University Curriculum. She has also developed numerous BOTA accredited training modules. She has also done considerable amount of work on gender related initiatives. She was the lead person on the UNICEF funded Girl-Boy Education Movement and did a lot of work in streamlining gender issues in the school curriculum and Ministry of Education and Skills Development Initiatives. She is a distinguished author with 8 Life Skills books and 5 Teacher’s Guides to her credit.  As a lead author, Mrs. Chipazi demonstrated incredible team work in ensuring timely delivery of quality manuscripts. She has extensive experience in planning, managing, conducting, and evaluating training workshops for teachers, education officers and learners on Life Skills, Emotional Intelligence, Guidance and Counseling and HIV and AIDS. Mrs. Chipazi has also proved her mantle in youth development initiatives.

As the Associate Project Director at Education Development Center (EDC), Mrs. Chipazi gained immeasurable experience in networking, project planning and management of staff and meeting project targets. She has also proved her management skills in successfully running the EDC Botswana office as its Country Director where she also managed sub-contractors such as University of Botswana and Stepping Stones International working with EDC and Project AIM Field Staff, Facilitators and AIM Ambassadors. Being a motivated, ambitious and self regulated individual who is undeniably passionate and committed to the provision of quality and holistic education testifies of the relevance of Mrs. Chipazi’s value to any progressive and transformational organization. Mrs. Chipazi is a goal orientated team player who is easy going and has an incredible sense of humor. She is currently sharpening her skills in leadership development as she pursues an MSc degree in Business Psychology.
